Lt. Governor O'Brien and Colorado Representative Diane Primavera willappear alongside local breast cancer survivors and advocates to call on thestate's policymakers to close a policy gap that prevents some low-income womenin Colorado from receiving Medicaid coverage for life-saving breast cancertreatment. Currently low-income under- and uninsured women in Colorado are noteligible for Medicaid-funded breast cancer treatment if they are screened at afacility that is not part of the state's Women's Wellness Connection program.Currently, funding constraints prevent WWC from screening more than 20 percentof eligible women.
