Dallas Nursing Institute Welcomes New Executive Director

CHICAGO, Nov. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Dr. Charlita Shelton has been appointed Executive Director of Dallas Nursing Institute (DNI), effective November 14th. In this role, Shelton will lead development of DNI's strategic vision and assure its ongoing commitment to high quality across the college, spearhead institutional operations to enhance student success, and cultivate new mission-related opportunities.

Shelton brings an extensive higher education background to her new role. She has previously served as president of the University of the Rockies where she was also named President Emerita, held nursing school leadership roles as well as positions ranging from regional executive director to associate vice president for academic affairs to organizational diversity officer. She holds a Master's degree in Education from National University, and a PhD in Human Development from Fielding Graduate University.
