CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, Feb. 16 D&L Communication Systems, Inc. has been named the winner of NSCA's 2010 Excellence in Business Award for Growth Strategies.
After finding success primarily in its local healthcare market with video and data products, D& L Communication Systems, Inc. decided to implement new strategies to grow the business and the bottom line. The company pursued new customers at a national level; obtained a GSA Schedule; and focused on partnerships with customers, vendors and a medical planning consultant. These strategies helped D&L increase its customer base by 30 to 50 percent each year for the past six years as well as increase sales by more than 600 percent.
Dean Chitwood, President of D&L Communication Systems said the following when accepting the award, "I've been a member of NSCA for many years and have utilized their vast resources in many areas as the company has grown. I accept this on behalf of my family, our employees, vendors and sub-contractors for which without them this performance and award would not be possible."
D&L, along with three other distinguished systems integrators, was chosen based on its implementation of creative, visionary strategies to build successful business models.

Systems integrators who showed exemplary and successful business strategies were selected to receive the Excellence in Business Awards from self- or peer-nominated applications. Award winners receive one complimentary admission to the NSCA Business & Leadership Conference, February 25-27, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. In addition, they will be recognized during the opening ceremonies of the event.
