ANAHEIM, Calif., May 25 Crescent Healthcare today announced the appointment of Brett Michalak to the position of CIO, reporting to CEO Robert Funari and Crescent Healthcare's Board of Directors. Crescent Healthcare delivers pharmaceutical therapies in alternate site settings nationwide.

Mr. Michalak is well known for his work at Tickets.com, where he created the first enterprise-class web-based ticketing platform developed from the ground up. He received the 2009 CIO 100 Award from CIO Magazine for creating business value through the effective and innovative use of technology. He has demonstrated success directing large-scale, mission-critical, software projects through implementation, creating significant enterprise value. Mr. Michalak began his IT career as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and draws on that experience to lead teams to deliver outstanding results.
As CIO, Mr. Michalak will lead Crescent's technology transformation, allowing Crescent to more efficiently deliver a business model that reduces overall healthcare costs, providing healthcare reform on local levels. He will leverage his experience developing cloud-based solutions into delivering to Crescent an enterprise solution on a cloud platform that will be the technology foundation of all of the organization's operations.
