PRINCETON, N.J., Sept. 9 Covance Inc. (NYSE: CVD) today announced the opening of new clinical development offices in Sao Paolo, Brazil and Mexico City, Mexico. These offices further expand Covance's global footprint with a comprehensive range of services across Latin America. Earlier this year, Covance announced new offices in Santiago, Chile and Lima, Peru. These new sites will support staff in these countries, Central America, and the Caribbean, as well as the regional network of field-based clinical research associates in the region.

Covance has been providing clinical trial support in Latin America since 1997 with the company's first office in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Operations in the region expanded quickly through a network of regional clinical trial monitors trained and supervised under guidelines meeting both local and international regulatory requirements as well as global Covance quality standards.

"Our continued expansion in Latin America highlights the region's growing significance in Covance's clinical development service offerings.
