DALLAS, March 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Fundraising efforts directly benefiting children treated at Texas Scottish Rite
The 11th annual fundraising challenge kicked off on Monday, March 6, with the restaurant matching every $25 donation to the hospital with a dining card equal to the contribution (up to $1,000). Gift cards are redeemable at any location in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas or New Mexico.
All donations will benefit children treated at Scottish Rite Hospital, one of the world's leading pediatric centers for the treatment of orthopedic conditions and related neurological disorders. Since the hospital was established in 1921, it has provided treatment to families in need regardless of their financial situation.
"We are thrilled with the overwhelming response to this year's Cotton Patch Challenge," said Stephanie Brigger, vice president of development at Scottish Rite Hospital. "The Challenge has introduced many new friends to the hospital, ultimately impacting the lives of thousands of children and families."
With the help of generous guest donations, Cotton Patch Cafe's total contribution to the hospital is almost $1.2 million.
"This is the first time in the 11 years of our partnership that we've met our fundraising goal so quickly," said Cotton Patch Cafe President Kathy Nelson. "We want to thank all the guests who contributed to this year's Challenge and encourage everyone to continue to support Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children."
