College Choice created the 2016 ranking for Best Counseling Psychology Programs by curating a list of factors that will affect a student's desire to participate in these programs. Factors such as academic reputation, tuition, gainful employment after graduation and student satisfaction are compiled and compared and has resulted in the ranking. The data was collected by researching individual schools and their programs followed by independent national statistics sites like The National Center for Education Statistics.
One of the most important factors for this ranking was the first-time pass-rate for the Examination for Professional Practice Psychology exam.
