CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 15 Cogdell Spencer ERDMAN(SM) announced today that The Woodlands Center for Specialized Medicine is complete and hosted its grand opening event last night in Pensacola, Florida.

The 75,985 square foot facility marks the completion of the first fully integrated project for Cogdell Spencer ERDMAN. The company provided design/build (architectural, engineering and construction), development and property management services on the medical office building and outpatient treatment center.

The three-story project at located 4724 N. Davis Highway in Pensacola is 100 percent leased by the physicians of Woodlands Medical Specialists. The facility is a joint venture with Cogdell Spencer Inc., a healthcare real estate investment trust (REIT) owning 40 percent and Gen-Ex Holdings, LLC (a group of local physicians) owning 60 percent. The facility is managed by Cogdell Spencer ERDMAN.
"If I may sum up our experience in one word, it would be collaborative," said Linda D'Amore, CEO of Woodlands Medical Specialists, who credits the successful opening of the new building to the synergy created among the physicians who envisioned Woodlands practice, Cogdell Spencer ERDMAN, and the local city and county government officials accountable for making the process run smoothly. "From beginning to end, we really had a great spirit of collaboration that helped make this such a successful project."
