"We originally signed on for 50 carwashes a month, but they've been sopopular that we increased it to 60," said Miguel Gonzales, the hospital'smanager of Security and Parking. "The hospital is committed to the reductionof toxins and unnecessary waste. The carwashes are another step in ourmission and we hope they will encourage our employees to be greener in theirown lives."

Green Earth Waterless Carwash sends a crew each Friday to wash the cars."We're so happy to be a part of Childrens Hospital's green initiative and tobe able to help them lead by example," said Lisa Peri, co-founder of GreenEarth Carwash. "Not only are our carwashes environmentally responsible, theshine lasts longer than a traditional wash so people never want to go back."
The carwashes are assigned by lottery throughout the hospital's parkinglots to show gratitude to the hospital employees who park a distance away andtake a shuttle to the facility. As the program grows, employees will be ableto sign up and pay for carwashes. Green Earth Waterless Carwash will also beavailable to wash cars in the visitor parking lot.
