"We reached this agreement because of MSI's focus on surgical quality, as driven by its highly experienced, senior surgical specialists," said CINICO General Manager Carole Appleyard. "As a surgeon-driven company, MSI brings special abilities to surgical quality. We have already seen this in individual cases. We have also seen unparalleled commitment to service: Case management, clinical education, logistical support, and general efficiency. MSI optimizes choice, quality, and cost better than anyone."

"Patients face economic, cultural, and geographical barriers to choice and quality," said MSI CEO Arnon Krongrad, MD. "Working with employers, insurers, and governments reduces administrative burdens at the time of illness. Our agreement with CINICO simplifies logistics for Caymanians and their government."

Mobile Surgery International first proved its surgeon-driven mobile surgical model in 2009 when it sent an American and his American surgical team to Trinidad. In so doing, MSI cut the overall cost for a laparoscopic prostatectomy by 60%, which opened the door to chosen treatment. MSI builds surgeon-driven services with a focus on quality. Total knee replacement, for example, is carried out by highly experienced specialists, using US FDA-approved implants, and aggressive one-on-one physical therapy.

About Mobile Surgery International: MSI offers patients and payers surgical choice and quality with cost containment through its Centers of Excellence with Global Convenience(TM) in Kansas, Florida, Mexico, Panama, and Trinidad. MSI cuts overhead, recruits outstanding surgical talent, and identifies host surgical facilities, providing differentiating surgical programs and custom solutions with minimal regard to geography. Whether the patient comes to the surgeon, the surgeon goes to the patient, or patient and surgeon meet at a mutually convenient location, MSI coordinates all arrangements at a cost agreeable to the patient and/or the payer. MSI is an operational unit of the Krongrad Institute. For more information see www.emeseye.com

About CINICO: CINICO is a government-owned company that provides health insurance to civil servants and other residents of the Cayman Islands.
