Catholic Charities USA Easter Message

Thursday, April 1, 2010 General News J E 4

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Rev. Larry Snyder, president and CEO of Catholic Charities USA, issued the following message during Holy Week 2010:

"Easter gives us the opportunity to act and think anew, both individually and together as a faith community," said Fr. Snyder. "The Gospel calls us all to find new ways to reduce poverty and offer each person dignity and respect. The resurrection of Christ confirms the work of local Catholic Charities, who have shared in the mission of Jesus for the past 283 years. In our celebrations and family gatherings throughout the Easter season, let us remember those in need and truly take this time to transform our daily lives into a renewed mission of love and justice."
