-- TrustWorth(TM) exclusive brand of home health care products -- CardinalHealth's exclusive new brand of high-quality, affordable home health careproducts helps independent pharmacies diversify revenue while strengtheningtheir position as a local health care destination. The TrustWorth line of homehealth care products includes bath safety, mobility and personal careproducts, many of which are reimbursable through Medicare, Medicaid and mostthird-party insurance companies. By offering these products to thefast-growing aging population, independent pharmacies can drive additionalrevenue and build market share by attracting new customers. TrustWorth'scontemporary packaging and full suite of marketing materials, includingcatalogs, brochures, store layouts and signage, help drive customer awarenessand sales.
-- ECRS front-end management system -- Cardinal Health has partnered withECRS to make its front-end management system available to customers atguaranteed industry-best pricing. The ECRS system automatically re-ordersfront-of-store merchandise as it's purchased, provides electronic orderupdates and confirmations and provides profit analysis on products at the itemlevel. The system also enhances prescription sales accountability by scanningand tracking all prescriptions at check out. In addition, it reduces inventoryand stock outs and is proven to increase front-of-store sales by 5 to 10percent while decreasing the amount of time spent managing front-of-storeinventory by as much as 60 percent.
Recent enhancements to the ECRS system also help customers comply withpending Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations that retailers need tofollow in order to process flexible spending accounts, health reimbursementarrangements and other health benefit plans.
-- Abby Calling Technology -- Cardinal Health also introduced guaranteedindustry-best pricing for new, Web-based Abby Calling Technology, which helpspharmacies improve patient relationships and medication compliance, while alsoincreasing prescription refill rates and reducing labor costs. The automatedoutbound calling tool allows retailers to notify patients when prescriptionsare ready or need to be refilled, share information regarding specialpromotions and conduct customer surveys.
