DUBLIN, Ohio, June 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cardinal Health today announced a redemption price of $1,002.55per $1,000 for its previously reported "make-whole" redemption of all of its outstanding 1.7 percent notes, which are due in 2018 (CUSIP No. 14149Y AX6). In addition to the redemption price, redeeming holders of such notes will receive approximately $5.01 in accrued and unpaid interest per $1,000 principal amount of notes being redeemed. Therefore, the total amount paid per $1,000 principal amount of notes being redeemed will be approximately $1,007.56, reflecting a redemption price of $1,002.55, plus approximately $5.01 in accrued and unpaid interest.
The redemption date, as previously announced, is July 1, 2017. Payment of the redemption price, as well as any unpaid and accrued interest, will occur on Monday, July 3, 2017, the first business day following the redemption date, in accordance with the terms of the indenture governing the notes.
The notes were issued on Feb. 22, 2013, pursuant to the June 2, 2008, indenture by and between the company and The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, formerly known as The Bank of New York Trust Company, as trustee.
