Produce for Kids® offers first Ideal Meals™ Healthy Chef Sweepstakes

ORLANDO, Fla., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Produce for Kids is inviting everyone who enjoys cooking to enter the Ideal Meals™ Healthy Chef Sweepstakes as part of its annual Get Healthy, Give Hope campaign. The campaign is now underway in six grocery store chains across the country to help raise money for Children's Miracle Network®-affiliated hospitals.

Here's how to enter the Ideal Meals Healthy Chef Sweepstakes:

  • Purchase PFK sponsors' products to prepare PFK Ideal Meals or any healthy recipe using at least three (3) PFK sponsored products (full list available at produceforkids.org)
  • Take a picture of the completed Ideal Meal or your new healthy meal creation.
  • Enter the contest via Facebook to upload your meal!

Prizes include kitchen cookware packages, handheld pocket video cameras, and $250 grocery gift cards.  The contest ends on Saturday, July 31 at 2 p.m. (EDT).

From now through July, more than 35 participating fruit and vegetable growers will make a donation to local children's hospitals based on sales of the fresh produce items at participating grocery stores.  The more items purchased, the more local children's hospitals benefit.

Acme Markets, GIANT Food Stores, Kroger's Southwest division, Meijer stores, Price Chopper, and Publix Super Markets are participating in the Get Healthy, Give Hope campaign.  Sponsored products for each retailer can be found on in-store Produce for Kids display materials in the produce department.
