P. today announcedits support of CURE magazine's 2008 Extraordinary Healer Award for OncologyNursing, which honors one of the thousands of exceptional oncology nurses whodemonstrate daily their unwavering dedication, compassion and helpfulness.Last year, more than 200 cancer patients and survivors nominated theironcology nurse for the first Extraordinary Healer Award, presented by CUREmagazine.
Cancer patients and caregivers are asked to submit essays nominatingoncology nurses who exemplify these characteristics. Three finalists, andthose who nominated them, will be honored at a special reception during theOncology Nursing Society's Annual Congress in Philadelphia on May 15 at 7pm atthe Philadelphia Downtown Marriott. The call for entries is featured in theWinter 2007 and Spring 2008 issues of CURE, a quarterly magazine for cancerpatients, survivors and caregivers, as well as the Spring issue of HEAL, aquarterly magazine for cancer survivors.
