CVS/pharmacy Raising Funds for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital(R) Thanks and Giving(R) Campaign to Support Expanded Rehabilitation Services Center

WOONSOCKET, R.I., Nov. 24 CVS/pharmacy will beparticipating in the fifth year of the St. Jude Children's Research HospitalThanks and Giving campaign, which will run nationwide in CVS/pharmacylocations through December 13. CVS/pharmacy store colleagues will encouragecustomers to add $1 to their purchase at the register to support thelifesaving research of St. Jude, one of the world's premier centers for theresearch and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhooddiseases. In the first four years of the campaign, CVS/pharmacy and itscustomers raised nearly $8 million for the hospital.

Funds raised by CVS/pharmacy for Thanks and Giving will support the CVSCaremark All Kids Can Rehabilitation Services Center at St. Jude. Childrenwith catastrophic diseases like cancer may develop developmental, cognitive orphysical impairments as a result of their illnesses as well as the treatmentsused to save their lives. The new facility, which is expected to open in thesummer of 2009, will double the current space dedicated to providingaudiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech-languagepathology services to St. Jude patients.
