The Centers for Disease Control recommends a yearly flu vaccinationespecially for people ages 50 and older, people with chronic diseases such asdiabetes, asthma and heart disease, and health care providers. Last year,nearly 400,000 people received flu shots at CVS/pharmacy.
Age restrictions and the cost of a flu shot at CVS/pharmacy will vary bylocation. Vaccines for Medicare Part B beneficiaries who present theirMedicare Card will be available at no charge, provided they have not assignedtheir Medicare benefits to a private Health Maintenance Organization.
