CSC Signs Extension to Managed Applications Services Agreement With Sun Microsystems

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Dec. 27 Computer SciencesCorporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has signed an extension to aglobal information technology (IT) applications management services agreementwith Sun Microsystems Inc.

Under the five-year agreement, CSC will continue to provide allapplications development and support services for Sun's business applicationsportfolios -- including finance, manufacturing, messaging, enterprise resourceplanning (ERP), customer relationship management, data warehousing and othergeneral technology software -- in the U.S., Europe and Asia Pacific. CSC willalso manage Sun's new Oracle 11i ERP systems. Sun is moving from its currentlegacy Oracle ERP implementation to Oracle 11i in an effort to consolidate itsvarious vertical processes and streamline business processes using theIntegrated Business Information Solution suite of application software.
