TORONTO, March 29, 2017 /CNW/ - CBI Health Group, Canada's largest integrated networkof community health services, has been honoured with the prestigious Canada's Best Managed Companies designation for the tenth consecutive year, maintaining its platinum status, the program's highest level of recognition.
"It takes continuous focus on fundamentals to be recognized as one of Canada's Best Managed Companies for ten years in a row," said Chris Szybbo, CEO, CBI Health Group. "But it also requires a commitment that our business and practice structures and systems evolve to remain responsive to our clients and customer segments. Our strategies though remain focused on expanding the capabilities that will achieve the best possible outcomes for individuals and create real value for the Canadian healthcare system."
CBI continues to expand its services network nationally building both scale and depth in core services as well as expanding into new areas of unmet demand and gaps in health delivery. There are now more than 80 homes in CBI's transitional and residential care network, which provides a higher degree of integrated care through a more cost effective community structure than within institutional settings. Within its healthy development segment, CBI's Monarch House has begun to address some of the challenges for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities who require health supports, life skills and vocational coaching and a goal-based and independent residential environment.
"It's much more than just financial performance," said Peter Brown, Partner, Deloitte and Co-Leader, Canada's Best Managed Companies program. "The ingredients to success also include overall business performance and sustained growth. It takes dedication and commitment from the entire organization."
2017 winners of the Canada's Best Managed Companies award will be honoured at the annual Canada's Best Managed Companies gala in Toronto on April 19, 2017. On the same date, the Best Managed symposium will address leading-edge business issues that are key to the success of today's business leaders.
