Gold's Gym and Us Weekly Join Forces to Present The First-Ever Hollywood's Hottest Body Awards

Leading Authorities on Fitness and Entertainment Recognize the Fittest Celebrities and Best "Fitness Performances" of the Past Year

DALLAS, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- With award season in full swing, many celebrities are being recognized for their remarkable performances on the big screen, in television and in the recording studio.  But some of the best performances in Hollywood actually happen at the gym ... before the cameras start rolling.

That's why Gold's Gym is teaming up with Us Weekly to present the 1st Annual Hollywood's Hottest Body Awards ... the only awards to recognize outstanding fitness achievements in television, film and entertainment.

On February 25th, an expert panel of Us Weekly editors and Gold's Gym celebrity trainers will unveil this year's nominees on Usmagazine.com.  The public will then decide the winners by voting for their favorite nominee in each category.  Awards will be presented to winners across eleven different categories and will be announced on March 3rd.

"We are very excited about announcing the first ever Hollywood's Hottest Body Award nominations with Us Weekly," said Lisa Zoellner, chief marketing officer of Gold's Gym International. "Most celebrities are known for their outstanding physiques or their ability to get fit for a demanding role, but until now no one has recognized them for their efforts. Getting and staying in top shape goes beyond the latest fad diet or workout routine ... it's about a commitment and dedication to results. These awards will recognize those celebrities that embody this dedication and we encourage everyone to go to usmagazine.com and vote for the winners starting on February 25th."

"Us Weekly and UsMagazine.com are the best resources to check out the hottest celebrities, their amazing bodies, how they get those hot bodies and what they do to maintain their fantastic physiques," said Lindsay Powers, Senior Online Editor for Us Weekly. "Partnering with Gold's Gym – home of many trainers to the stars, including Ramona Braganza, who has worked with Ashlee Simpson and Jessica Alba — is a natural fit for our 1st Annual Hollywood's Hottest Body Awards.  Move over Oscars, this season we are applauding the Hollywood A-listers who are committed to fitness."

Nominees for the Hollywood's Hottest Body Awards will be chosen from Hollywood's hottest, most talked about fitness transformations — and the bodies that put them a rep above the rest. From toned tummies to sleek physiques, each of the nominees selected has displayed some of this past year's hottest cuts and curves, helping to define what a healthy, fit body looks like and earning them an award nod.  Nominations will be given in the following categories:

  • Most Chiseled Arms
  • Best Booty
  • Sexiest Washboard Abs
  • Hottest Legs
  • Hottest Bikini Bod
  • Hottest Couple
  • Fittest Ensemble Cast
  • Workout Song of the Year
  • Biggest Post-Baby Body Comeback
  • Best Overall Body Transformation
  • Fittest Actor/Actress of the Year
Voting on Usmagazine.com will close on March 1st with winners for the first-ever Hollywood's Hottest Body Awards being announced on March 3rd, just four days before one of the year's biggest red carpet events.
