Bumble Bee Foods(R) Launches BeeWell for Life(TM) Interactive Health Program

SAN DIEGO, March 23 Bumble Bee Foods®, America's leading premium seafood company, announced that it is rebranding its annual interactive health and wellness program (formerly BeeWell Miles) as BeeWell for Life(TM). Designed to encourage a more holistic and year-long approach to active living and good nutrition, the signature program by Bumble Bee aims to inspire people to exercise, stay active and eat healthier using the dedicated resource Web site www.beewellforlife.com. It will continue to benefit Breast Cancer Network of Strength®.

Through the program Web site, other online communities and on-the-ground events, BeeWell for Life(TM) provides resources and tools to help consumers achieve a healthy lifestyle. In addition to daily measurement tools, Coach Jenny Hadfield offers helpful suggestions for workouts and other activities to stay active. Nutritionists Willow Jarosh and Stephanie Clarke provide tips on good nutrition and healthy recipes.

BeeWell for Life(TM) also provides tools to measure energy balance. By logging miles and diet information daily, participants can assess and manage their daily calorie intake against the calories they expend with exercise.

Participants in BeeWell for Life(TM) who log the miles they walk, run or bike help make a difference for Breast Cancer Network of Strength. Breast Cancer Network of Strength initiatives include the 24/7 YourShoes(TM) Breast Cancer Support Center, survivor and partner match programs, and wig and prosthesis banks. For each mile logged through www.beewellforlife.com between now and October 31, 2010, Bumble Bee will donate 15 cents per mile. When one million miles are logged, the company will make an additional $50,000 contribution, for a total donation of $200,000.

Another addition to the BeeWell for Life(TM) program in 2010 is a partnership with iVillage to support its Walk ON Rock ON challenge. The partnership with iVillage was established to enhance the information and channels available to prospective participants to learn more about ways to "BeeWell." iVillage joins other partners like Lady Foot Locker® in helping to motivate members to make the most of their active lifestyle throughout the year.
