Bruce Pasternack Elected to Codexis Board

Mr. Pasternack has had a distinguished career leading development ofnational energy policy and in advising both large corporations and emergingcompanies in managing growth. He joined Booz Allen Hamilton in 1976 andserved as Senior Vice President and Managing Partner of its San Franciscooffice until 2005. In addition to his Energy Practice leadership, he wasfounding Partner of the firm's global Organization and Strategic LeadershipCenter. From 2005-2007, he served as President and CEO of the SpecialOlympics. He rejoined Booz Allen in 2007 as Senior Executive Advisor to theEnergy, Chemicals, and Pharmaceuticals business. From 1972-1976, he served insenior federal government, environmental and energy policy positions, first onthe senior staff of the President's Council on Environmental Quality,Executive Office of the President, and later as Associate Administrator,Policy and Program Evaluation, Federal Energy Administration (now the Dept. ofEnergy) and staff director of the President's Energy Resources Council.

Mr. Pasternack is a member of the Board of Directors of BEA Systems,Quantum Corporation, and Symyx Technologies, and the Board of Trustees of TheCooper Union. He has served as a member of the Advisory Council of StanfordUniversity's Graduate School of Business, a member of the Corporate AdvisoryBoard of USC's Center for Effective Organizations, and member of the Board ofDirectors and Executive Committee of Special Olympics. Mr. Pasternack holds abachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from The Cooper Union and amaster's degree in systems engineering and operations research from theUniversity of Pennsylvania.
