Debuted at the 2007 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting, the SinglePointesolution was made generally available in June with the release of Omnicell12.0. In a departure from traditional medication dispensing systems, theSinglePointe solution provides an auto-assign process that matchespatient-specific locations with patients and their medications that are notroutinely stocked in the dispensing system. This proprietary featuresignificantly reduces the labor intensive process of loading and unloadingmedications in the dispensing system as well as the management of multi-useand "home" medications.
