Black Health Section Released by NHS Choices

LONDON, July 21 NHS Choices (http://www.nhs.uk), thedigital 'front door' to the NHS, launches a new Live well section aimed tohelp African and African Caribbean people, and mixed-race people of Africanor African Caribbean descent, protect their health. Some conditions, such asdiabetes, high blood pressure and prostate cancer, are more prevalent inpeople from these communities in the UK.

Based on NHS accredited information, the Black health section (http://www.nhs.uk/LiveWell/Blackhealth/Pages/Blackhealthhub.aspx ) enablesusers to find out about the conditions that are more likely to affect themand provides them with clinically approved guidance to help them reduce theirrisk. This Live well section is the latest addition to the NHS Choices'extensive Live well area.
