MILL VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 12 Kovarus, Inc., a premiertechnology consulting firm, and Studio Velo, an expert custom cycling shop inMill Valley, today jointly announced the launch of a new bike club dedicatedto the promotion of cycling while also increasing awareness of a good cause,the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA).

The Studio Velo/Kovarus Cycling Club (SVK-CC) is a charitable organizationequally committed to cycling and to helping win the fight against braintumors. "More than 200,000 people in the U.S. and Canada are diagnosed with abrain tumor each year, including my nephew who was diagnosed in 2000 and hasendured many surgeries. SVK-CC is committed to making a difference for peoplelike my nephew and his family," said Peter Castaldi, principal at Kovarus.Kovarus also sponsors an elite cycling team focused on promoting awareness forABTA.

Scott Penzarella, founder of Studio Velo, said "We are pleased to partnerwith Kovarus and the Kovarus/ABTA Racing for Research cycling team to supportthose battling brain tumors and bring riders together in the spirit of sport,fun, and charity."

The new club will offer weekly organized rides and monthly specialrides/clinics hosted by either a member of the Kovarus/ABTA racing team or byanother special guest. Members will also have access to the SVK-CC privateInternet portal where they can coordinate rides and chat with other SVK-CCmembers.
