The recent spurt in cadaver organ donation activity (almost 140 cadaver organs in last one year) from not only Chennai but also various districts of Tamil Nadu has inspired the volunteers of our Foundation to undertake this rally. Six young men will be riding motorcycles and will be covering a distance of 2000 kms. The nine places that will be covered include - Vellore Salem Coimbatore Tirunelveli Madurai Trichy Dindigul Tanjarvur and Pondicherry. En route they will be honoring donor families in all these towns and we already have names of over 22 family members who would be attending the functions in these places.

We hope this effort will help in accelerating the organ donation rate even further in our state. In Tamil Nadu we have close to 160 such families who have donated all organs of their love ones. Tamil Nadu we hope can show the way forward to the rest of the country in this difficult programme and as an NGO we appreciate the efforts being taken by the Govt of Tamil Nadu. MOHAN Foundation will always help and continue to spread awareness and sensitize the masses on this important issue.
