NEW YORK, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "The court's rejection of the motion to dismiss is a victory for the U.S. Constitution

and limited government," declared Betsy McCaughey, Ph.D., in response to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia (Richmond Division) ruling in Commonwealth
of Virginia V. Kathleen Sibelius. McCaughey said, "This is a victory for the American people."

"This is a strong indication that constitutional challenges to the Obama health law are likely to succeed," stated the Former Lt. Governor of New York State.

"If the court had granted the motion to dismiss, Congress would have been granted virtually unlimited power to order Americans to buy anything and do anything, like forcing us to buy GM cars to bailout Detroit or purchase vegetables and fruit to reduce obesity," Constitutional Scholar McCaughey explained.

Former NYS Lt. Governor Betsy McCaughey holds a Ph.D. in constitutional history. She is the author of two books on the constitution. As a patient advocate, McCaughey has been leading the battle to overturn the Obama Health Law. She is president of Defend Your Healthcare and Chairman of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths.
