Beazley Expands Accident & Health Business in United States

Paul Gulstrand Appointed as Head of Accident & Health Insurance USA

FARMINGTON, Conn., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Beazley has appointed Paul Gulstrand as head of accident & health insurance in the US.  Gulstrand, formerly CEO of UnitedHealth Group's OptumHealth Specialty Benefits Division, will spearhead the expansion of Beazley's accident & health business into the US insurance market.

Gulstrand will be based in Minneapolis, reporting to Chris Branch. He has nearly three decades of experience and most recently held several leadership roles at UnitedHealth Group.  Prior to this, he served as President of ING/ReliaStar's Group and Voluntary Employee Benefits divisions where he had oversight over P&L, operations, IT, strategic planning and sales.
