MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 13, 2016 /CNW/ - A recent independent survey of over 8,000 employees in more than 1,500 businesses in Canada has recognized Bayshore HealthCare as one of Canada's Best Employers for 2016. This is the first year that Forbes Media Group, along with Statista Inc., conducted this survey in Canada.

"Congratulations, Bayshore HealthCare is one of the 250 best employers out of 1500 companies in 25 industry sectors in Canada," wrote Dr. Friedrich Schwandt, CEO of Statista Inc., who, with Forbes Media, created the award program.
As part of the selection process, Forbes asked Canadian workers to determine, on a scale of zero to 10, how likely they were to recommend their employer to someone else. Also, they were asked how they felt about the other employers in the industry. Participation in the survey was voluntary. The mix of respondents (gender, age, region, educational level, ethnicity) in the sample is representative of the Canadian workforce.
The basis of the survey was to find out the attitude of the employees towards their own company and the public perception of a company by industry employees.

Other well known Canadian companies on the list include Bombardier Transportation, BC Hydro, Sick Kids Hospital, Sheridan College of Applied Arts and Queen's University.
