Baxa Corporation Launches New Electronic Users' Group Web Site

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., July 18 Baxa Corporation, a Denver-basedmanufacturer of medical devices and systems for preparing, handling,packaging, and administering medications, announces the release of a newlydesigned Web site for health-system users of its software and pharmacyautomation products. The online forum, known as eBUG for electronic BaxaUsers' Group, offers a variety of technical features, along with creating avirtual 'community' for sharing pharmacy best practices and the benefits ofuser experience.

eBUG, an eCommunity for Baxa hardware and software customers, originallylaunched in 2005 to provide a forum for conversations and information sharingabout the company's products. Over time, users gave feedback on specificinformation and capabilities they would like to see added to the site toimprove its utility and provide a greater user experience. The result is anew and improved site that promotes interaction -- allowing customers to askquestions of the Baxa Technical Support team and/or other fellow eBUG members.In addition, eBUG provides access to essential product information at users'fingertips, with technical support tools and information they can read anddownload and a feature to stay updated on important information through RSSfeeds or email alerts.

"eBUG members and other customers evaluated our previous site, giving usfeedback for improvements," stated Michael Abla, eBUG Manager. Baxa usedsurvey responses and other customer feedback to learn more about eBUG members,their operational challenges and what they consider valuable about the eBUGsite and other users' group. This set the stage for the site upgrade projectkicked off in fall 2007.

Aside from user-suggested improvements to the site, Baxa had a goal ofimproving the integration of eBUG content with other company resources such asthe corporate Web site, http://www.baxa.com, and encouraging socialnetworking. The intention was to create a platform for richer content, suchas online product demonstrations, real-time software downloads andself-service technical support. Improved security features at the new eBUGsite allow access to product-specific policy and procedure guidelines,technical papers and clinical data, user manuals and other proprietary productresources and support materials. The site also allows easy access fordownloads, and improved navigation and personalization capabilities. Baxacustomers can access the free eBUG subscription at ebug.baxa.com.
