SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 26 Quantros, a leading provider of safety and quality software and professional services solutions for the healthcare industry, announces that Banner Health has adopted the Quantros RRM(TM) solution to manage its clinical improvement and regulatory reporting efforts. Banner Health is one of the country's largest non-profit hospital systems with 22 healthcare facilities across seven Western states.

Quantros RRM is an electronic self-reporting system designed to streamline and simplify reporting to a number of state and national quality organizations.

Sandy Severson, Banner's Senior Director of Quality Management, explains how RRM fits with their strategic priorities for 2010, "We are looking to align the CMS Reporting Hospital Quality Data for Annual Payment Update (RHQDAPU) and Joint Commission Core Measures into one database." Banner Health is already using Quantros Accreditation and Compliance Excellence (ACE) to manage compliance with The Joint Commission's accreditation standards. By using both ACE and RRM, Banner will leverage a single clinical performance and quality data set for accreditation compliance and state and national quality improvement reporting. The integrated system provides real-time access to quality indicator data and drives clinical performance improvement by making proactive intervention possible. The applications will allow Banner Health to realize workflow efficiencies and reduce the time and resources required to aggregate and disseminate data to stakeholders. This results in shorter improvement cycles, supporting their goal of excellent patient care.
