(Educational show banished by ATT/Direct TV & DISH Network returns to Prime Time on 10/14/17)

SUNSET BEACH, Calif., Oct. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cannabis Planet, an educational television program about the benefits

of marijuana, will bring their message of food, fuel, fiber and medicine into millions of TV households across the U.S. on 10/14/17. The thirty-minute program will air in Prime Time each weekend on independent stations in major television markets. (Listings available at

New exclusive content will feature interviews with Harvard's Dr. Lester Grinspoon, actors Cooper Andrews (AMC's The Walking Dead), Matt Peters (Orange is the New Black), former professional athletes Eben Britton (NFL), John Salley (NBA), Darren McCarty and Riley Cote (NHL) and many more. Chef Mike DeLao returns with a weekly cooking segment and comedian Ngaio Bealum returns with the "Higher Perspective," an esoteric look at the plant. Newscaster Pat Finerty also returns with weekly HEMP facts.

"We are very excited to help bring this important information of cannabis and hemp education directly into the living rooms of mainstream America," stated Greg Bozzani, CEO of Bozzani Motors (one of the show's sponsors).

"Cannabis Planet is known as the '20/20 of 420' and we are proud to be a supporter of this topic, helping people to learn about the facts and benefits of the cannabis plant," Bozzani said.

Cannabis Planet intended to broadcast on both ATT/Direct TV and DISH Network, yet both networks refused to air the programming. The new distribution strategy for the show is to broadcast on major independent, full-power transmission stations around the country whose signals become "must-carry" to all television services within each specific market. Therefore, all TV households are able to receive the broadcast signal and watch the program, including DISH & ATT/Direct TV subscribers.

"Being banned is nothing new to us," claims Lane. "We have been banned by NASCAR, ATT/Direct TV, DISH Network, and a bunch of other independent stations who fear the would-be repercussions from the FCC. My question is why? The same government that prohibits this plant, listing it as a Schedule I drug with no medicinal value, also owns four patents on the medical efficacy of the plant!" Lane continued, "Someone has some explaining to do and Cannabis Planet asks those questions."

Banned by the major satellite services, Cannabis Planet will broadcast into the following television markets premiering the weekend 10/14/17 – 10/15/17. Los Angeles (KJLA), Chicago (WOCK), San Francisco (KOFY), Philadelphia (WACP), Washington D.C. (WMDE), & Palm Beach (WHDT). The program is also available online at

Cannabis Planet wanted to also broadcast on a New York station and on KHSV in Las Vegas (where cannabis is legal medicinally and recreationally) yet both stations refused to air the programming, claiming it was against their network policies.
