Ball Produces New 8-oz. Heat-Tek(R) Bottle for Elations Joint Supplement Beverage

BROOMFIELD, Colo., July 28 Elations, a fruitjuice-based dietary supplement drink from the Elations Company, Cincinnati,Ohio, launched nationally this month in 8-oz. Heat-Tek(R) PET bottles fromBall Corporation (NYSE: BLL).

In order to provide this functional beverage to consumers, Elations neededa heat set bottle that could successfully run on a high speed filling line atKrier foods, Random Lake, Wis. Ball's Heat-Tek(R) bottles, which are ideal forjuices, teas, sports drinks, enhanced water or any hot-filled beverage filledat temperatures up to 185 degrees F, provided an unbreakable, re-closeable and100% recyclable solution.

"We modified our stock 8-oz. Heat-Tek(R) bottle to meet the demands of theKrier line, which runs about four times faster than a standard filling line,"says Mike Vaughn, vice president, packaging innovation, Ball PackagingProducts, Americas. "We were able to do this successfully for Elations on anaccelerated development schedule in order to meet their product launchrequirements."

According to Elations, the beverage is a supplement drink containingGlucosamine, Chondroitin, and calcium for healthier joints and bones. "Ourresearch shows that many people want healthier joints to continue their activelives, even as they get older," says Mike Burton, Marketing Director, ElationsCompany. "Now people can get those benefits from these attractive, portablelittle bottles of a refreshing, great-tasting drink that can be part of theirdaily routine rather than from unpleasant pills that they dread taking."

Elations beverages are available in two flavors -- raspberry white grapeand cranberry apple. The bottles are sold in six-packs and individually.
