Under the terms of the agreement, ApolloMed will provide twelve full-time equivalent hospitalists to cover five daytime (7am-7pm) shifts and one in-house nocturnist (7pm-7am) shift, as well as a care coordinator who will round daily on patients and coordinate communication between the hospitalists and patient's primary care physicians. ApolloMed will partner with the hospital administration, medical staff, nurses and case managers to enhance clinical core measures scores, improve clinical documentation, optimize lengths of stay, reduce hospital readmissions and to enhance patient satisfaction scores.
Founded in 1953 and located in Salinas, California, Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital is a 269-bed acute care hospital that provides comprehensive healthcare services for the Monterey County region and beyond, including cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, comprehensive cancer care, spinal surgery, stroke center and robotic surgery.
