INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Animal Dermatology Clinic announces the grand opening of a new full time, state of the art, dermatology specialty practice in Indianapolis, IN. The 2,800 square foot facility has four dermatology exam rooms, a large treatment area, and a separate procedure room, where they perform laser surgeries, allergy testing, biopsies, video otoscopy, diagnostic testing, and treatments on-site, in a quiet and stress-free environment.

"We are very excited about our new facility opening in Indianapolis and are thrilled to add Dr. Lori Thompson to our team of doctors. Dr. Thompson, a native of Indianapolis, is a Purdue graduate and diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. She has been working overtime to get our full time facility up and running while seeing patients out of Nora Veterinary Hospital two days a week for the past several months. We believe this full time clinic will efficiently address the needs of clients throughout Indianapolis as well as outlying areas throughout the state. We have been fortunate in finding such a prime central location for the clinic at beautiful Clearwater Shoppes on the Northside of Indianapolis," says co-owner Joel Griffies, DVM, DipACVD.

An open house for referring veterinarians and clients to tour the clinic and meet Dr. Lori Thompson, DVM, DACVD and the highly skilled staff will be held Sunday, March 14th 2010 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the 3901 East 82nd Street location. Veterinary dermatologists from our affiliated locations will be on site to welcome you and assist in answering any questions. As the Indianapolis clinic's full-time doctor and co-owner, Dr. Lori Thompson, DVM, Dip ACVD will be seeing small animals, horses, array of exotic animals, and consulting with the Indianapolis Zoo.

Founded in 1980 by Dr. Craig Griffin, Animal Dermatology Clinic has the distinction of being the first privately owned clinic approved by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology to provide a residency program, and is the largest group of veterinary dermatologists across the globe. Since 1980, Animal Dermatology Clinic has expanded to include seven full time clinics in California, Georgia, Kentucky and Indianapolis, fourteen satellite locations throughout California, Georgia, Kentucky and Indiana, and more expansion is planned.
