Angel Flight West -- Washington Wing volunteer pilots donate the cost ofall flights as well as their time, money and services. These pilots makesignificant contributions that result in tremendous service to others,improvements in access to health care, the meeting of human needs withcompassion, and the preparedness to respond to disasters that impactWashington and its' residents.

Michael Nanko, Ph.D., AFW Executive Director states that "5,530individuals have been successfully served and more than 3,000 missions flownby the Washington Wing. This week we honor those individuals who have servedthese past ten years." Nanko continues, "Angel Flight West is also preparedto respond to disasters in the Pacific Northwest as the largest volunteer,charitable aviation organization in the world. And with our partnerorganizations in Air Charity Network, we represent over 90 percent of allcharitable aviation flights in America. AFW has flown well over 30,000missions since its inception in 1983."
Washington Governor Christine O. Gregoire urges all Washington citizens tojoin her in recognizing and supporting those who serve as volunteer members ofthe Angel Flight West Washington Wing.
