Amylin Pharmaceuticals to Webcast Third Quarter Results

SAN DIEGO, Calif., Oct. 13, 2009 Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMLN) will webcast its Quarterly Update Conference Call for the third quarter of 2009 on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. PT. Daniel M. Bradbury, Amylin's president and chief executive officer, will lead the call. On the same date post-market, Amylin will release financial results for the third quarter of 2009.

The call will be webcast live through Amylin's corporate Web site and a recording will be made available following the close of the call. To access the webcast, please log on to www.amylin.com approximately fifteen minutes prior to the call to register, download and install any necessary audio software.
