Casey joins the Red Cross with an array of public and private sectorexperience including his most recent position as Associate Deputy UnderSecretary at the Bureau of International Labor Affairs / U.S. Department ofLabor. In this role, Casey managed a staff of more than 85 and a yearly budgetof nearly $100 million with more than $750 million in existing human rightsprograms in over 75 countries around the world. Among other responsibilities,Casey was designated the emergency coordinator by his agency for continuity ofoperations, within the federal government, in the event of a national orinternational disaster, including a potential pan-flu epidemic.
Other achievements include Casey's experience as Chief of Staff to twomembers of Congress and his tenure as director of Congressman Clay Shaw's PalmBeach County District Office of Florida's 22nd Congressional District. Healso acted in non-official capacities for public officials and was tasked withfinding and keeping thousands of volunteers. He oversaw multi-million dollarsof fund raising efforts, leveraged resources, and kept balanced budgets.
