Ambulatory Services of America, Inc. Announces Joint Venture to Operate Radiation Oncology Facility in Dallas, Texas

NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 2 Ambulatory Services of America,Inc. announced the formation of ROSA of North Dallas, LLP, its sixth jointventure to provide outpatient radiation oncology services. ROSA of NorthDallas is a joint venture between ASA's subsidiary, Radiation OncologyServices of America, and some of the former owners of Landmark RadiationDallas LP. ROSA of North Dallas will own and operate Northpoint Cancer Centerin Dallas, Texas, which was previously owned and operated by LandmarkRadiation Dallas.

ROSA of North Dallas will offer state-of-the-art cancer treatmentservices, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) andimage-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) in the Dallas center. The joint ventureexpects to build on Landmark Radiation's legacy of providing high-qualitycancer care to the residents of the north Dallas area. Edward Gilbert, M.D.will serve as medical director for ROSA of North Dallas, and Dr. TimothyNichols will also continue to provide professional radiation oncology servicesat the facility.

Dr. Gilbert said, "We look forward to working with Ambulatory Services ofAmerica and Radiation Oncology Services of America to provide a full range ofradiation therapy services to patients in North Dallas. We are pleased tohave worked with Landmark Radiation to build the North Dallas center and lookforward to a long relationship with ASA and ROSA."

ASA, through its primarysubsidiaries Radiation Oncology Services of America, Inc. and Renal Servicesof America, Inc. owns, operates and manages facilities providing radiationoncology services and dialysis services. After the acquisition, ASA will owninterests in and operate 41 dialysis centers and 13 radiation oncology centersin nine states and the territory of Guam. ASA also manages three otherdialysis centers.
