WESTPORT, Conn., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Al's Angels, a non-profit charitable organization founded by Westport resident and Zeta Interactive CEO, Al DiGuido, announced it will be hosting a special "Love and Laughter" fundraiser event this evening from Aitoro's Appliances in Norwalk, CT.
The event, which will be the first Al's Angels event in 2010, will feature live entertainment and dancing, top-quality dining from several renowned Connecticut restaurants, silent auctions with dozens of rare collectibles, and many other activities. Other annual Al's Angels events such as "Al's Angels Oktoberfest" and "Angels in July" have received a warm reception from the Tri-State community, and have raised several hundred thousand dollars for children in need.
Event Details:
All proceeds from this event will go directly to Al's Angels, which was founded in 2004 by digital marketing pioneer and Zeta Interactive CEO Al DiGuido, to help families and children challenged by cancer, rare blood diseases, AIDS and domestic violence. The mission of Al's Angels is to provide financial and emotional support to the children suffering from these diseases, and to show them that they are not alone in their fight.
Through his work with Al's Angels – including the annual Al's Angels Thanksgiving meal drive, holiday toy drive, "Angels in July" summer event, and many other initiatives – DiGuido has earned a reputation as one of the Tri-State area's most influential philanthropists. Al's Angels has partnered with other organizations such as the Tomorrow's Children Fund, St. Barnabus Hospital of the Bronx, Union Community Health Center of the Bronx, CLASP Homes of Westport and Mercy Learning Center of Bridgeport, to provide children with much needed assistance. DiGuido has also built a loyal following of more than 200 Angels' volunteers that travel and lend hands-on support to Al's Angels events and charity drives throughout the year.
