Messrs. Wilson and Gennett and Ms. Rodriguez join Akerman from Shutts &Bowen, LLP where they were members of the Health Law Practice Group, which waschaired by Mr. Wilson, in the firm's Miami office. For almost 20 years, Mr.Wilson has successfully represented healthcare professionals and otherproviders in various types of licensing and reimbursement disputes, andnegotiated managed care, non-compete, employment, and many other types ofagreements specific to the health care industry. Mr. Gennett joins Akermanwith a Board Certification in Health Law by the Florida Bar, and is devoted torepresenting healthcare practitioners and institutional providers. Ms.Rodriguez's practice focuses on representing healthcare providers, includinghome health agencies, clinics, physicians, and independent diagnostic testingfacilities.
