SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Aug. 12 AirStrip Technologies(TM), L.P., a leader in the field of remote patient monitoring, today announced that its signature AirStrip OB(TM) application is now available for most versions of the BlackBerry(R) Bold(TM), Tour(TM), Curve(TM) and 8800 devices, with support for the BlackBerry Pearl(TM) and Storm(TM) scheduled for release this fall.

AirStrip officials announced in April that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cleared the AirStrip OB application for the BlackBerry.

AirStrip OB delivers vital patient waveform data - including fetal heart rate and maternal contraction patterns - in virtual real-time directly from the hospital labor and delivery unit to a doctor's smart phone from anywhere the doctor gets a cell-phone connection. Additional patient data is also accessible, including nursing notes, vital signs and order results.
The AirStrip Technologies platform provides the ability to construct a secure, hospital-wide remote patient monitoring system with AirStrip as the backbone, noted company co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Trey Moore.
