Aflac Named to Top 125 by Training Magazine

COLUMBUS, Ga., Feb. 3 Aflac, the company that pays you cash when you are sick or hurt, has been named to Training Magazine's Training Top 125 list for 2010. It is the 10th consecutive year that Aflac has appeared on the magazine's esteemed list.

To compile their annual list Training Magazine editors look for demonstrable results, progress of programs, innovation, success factors, training strategically linked to business goals, corporate commitment to training, the potential applicability of best practices companywide and to other organizations and industries, and the ingenuity of outstanding initiatives.

"Appearing on Training Magazine's list of Training Top 125 illustrates our commitment to building and maintaining a highly skilled workforce," Aflac Executive Vice President of Corporate Services Audrey Boone Tillman said. "We are proud to have earned this distinction for a 10th consecutive year."

An example of Aflac's training initiatives for busy employees; the company's Corporate Learning unit offers online self-study courses for employees who can't spare the time to attend formal classes. We also offer 15 mini-series courses, called How to in a Hurry, for employees who can't be away from work long, but need specific training. These courses range from Excel pivot tables to mastering interview skills. Each year, Corporate Learning adds new courses to the curriculum to keep current with new trends and technologies.
