Aflac Outdoor Games is a combination of several events including theCollegiate and Professional Championships of the STIHL(R) TIMBERSPORTS(R)Series, a competition consisting of eight competitive events that challengecompetitors in the arenas of strength, endurance, stamina, tool skill andagility.
Aflac Outdoor Games has partnered with STIHL(R) to bring the STIHL(R)TIMBERSPORTS(R) Series to Columbus in 2008 and 2009. The events include HotSaw, Stock Saw, Underhand Chop, Standing Chop, Single Buck Saw, Speed Climb,Springboard and the Boom Run. In addition to the STIHL(R) TIMBERSPORTS(R)Series, the Aflac Outdoor Games will be host to national and local barbequecooking contests as well as sporting competitions for dogs. The 2008 Pig Bowlevent will be officially endorsed by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, anorganization that has sanctioned almost 300 barbeque contests throughout theUnited States. The dog competitions will include champion Agility Dogdemonstrations, and a "DockDogs" event in which canines leap from a platformacross a pool of water. Both the barbeque contest and DockDogs will have opencompetitions for local residents.

"With anational television audience, there will be a great amount of exposure. Thisis a terrific opportunity not only for Columbus, but for the surroundingcommunity."
Advance tickets per day are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-12.Admission is free for children under 5 years of age. Passes, family andmulti-day packages, and military rates are available.
