WHAT: Press briefing conference call to discuss a new report from Trust for America's Health (TFAH) and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), Ready or Not? Protecting the Public's Health from Diseases, Disasters, and Bioterrorism - 2008. This is the sixth annual edition of the report, which contains state-by-state health preparedness scores for all 50 states and Washington, DC based on 10 key indicators to assess health emergency preparedness capabilities. State-specific information is available.

Topics include health care surge capacity for mass emergencies, disease outbreak detection capabilities, pandemic flu preparedness, and food safety. The report also examines the impact of the economic crisis on U.S. preparedness for health emergencies.
