AdCare Educational Institute, Inc. is a non-profit corporation, 501 (c) 3, established in 1986 with the mission to advance the awareness, knowledge and skills about the prevention, intervention and treatment of substance abuse and other public health issues.  The mission is accomplished through the development of educational activities such as conferences, seminars, in-service training and workforce development activities.  The Institute is one of the largest training entities in New England.

"AdCare Educational Institute's mission is vital to our communities, especially now as we are in the midst of the current opioid epidemic," added Patrice Muchowski, Sc.D. , President of AdCare Educational Institute.  "The current opioid epidemic has increased the need for additional programming, unfortunately staffing has not kept up with the increased need," she added.

"The New England Institute of Addiction Studies is pleased to have merged with our longtime organizational partner, the AdCare Educational Institute, and looks forward to continuing to bring our quality summer schools and other workforce development programs to professionals throughout New England," said Denise Adams, Director.
