The solution selected by Rush is designed to allow all medical images tobe stored on the Acuo archive, allowing the hospital's Electronic MedicalRecord (EMR) portal to have one location to retrieve patient images, insteadof multiple integrations and locations. The combined solution will alsoensure that all patient studies are safely stored, protected and can beaccessed from any Rush location in a consistent and reliable fashion.

Rush University Medical Center will also be using the Acuo DICOM AssistedMigration (ADAM) to move data from the existing proprietary archive into theAcuo vendor neutral archive, ensuring that Rush will be able to gain controlof their data and never pay for a migration again. The Acuo solution will beused as the PACS neutral Archive of Record for all future PACS systempurchases. This strategy will enable Rush to add applications directly to theAcuo Archive without expensive and complex integrations to existing and futurePACS. Using the standards based approach, the Acuo solution will eliminatethe costly and time consuming data migrations in the future.

"We are very pleased to initiate this relationship with one of thecountry's most prestigious hospital systems," said Jeff Timbrook CEO of AcuoTechnologies.
