Disability Rights Activist and Actor Will Address Thousands Participating in Forum



WASHINGTON, July 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Actor and disability rights activist Robert David Hall ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation") will be a speaker at The National Forum on Disability Issues, a non-partisan presidential forum organized by the Ohio Disability Vote Coalition (ODVC) and the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 26, in Columbus, Ohio.

Thousands of people with disabilities from across the country will hear Hall speak about the importance of the inclusion of people with disabilities in the entertainment community as well as raising the visibility of the disability community as a powerful political constituency during the event.

Hall, who has played coroner Dr. Al Robbins on the show since 2000, is a double amputee who has served as a national board member and chair on the Screen Actors Guild's Performers with Disabilities Committee. Hall lost both legs after a 1978 car accident after experiencing burns on more than 65 percent of his body. He has also testified before Congress on disability issues and advocates the hiring of actors with disabilities.
