Accuray Postpones Release of First Quarter Fiscal 2009 Results

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Nov. 6 Accuray Incorporated(Nasdaq: ARAY), a global leader in the field of radiosurgery, announced todaythat in conjunction with its independent auditors and legal advisors, theCompany is further reviewing financial results for the first quarter of fiscal2009, ended September 27, 2008.

In response to allegations by a former employee of possible improprietiesin handling and accounting for certain inventory items, the Company hascommenced an internal investigation into the allegations, using an independentexternal investigator. The internal investigation is not yet complete, and asa result the Company is not able to release its financial results for thefiscal quarter ended September 27, 2008. In addition, the Company will not beable to file its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q today, the date on which suchfiling is due. The Company expects to file a Notice of Late Filing on Form12b-25 with the SEC tomorrow.

Upon conclusion of the investigation, Accuray will file its Form 10-Q andannounce first quarter of fiscal 2009 results.
