During the recent in-store fundraising campaign, A.C. Moore (www.acmoore.com) customers had the opportunity to donate $1 to Easter Seals' Act for Autism campaign at checkout, and participate in a free "Make & Take" craft event in late April to learn about autism--its signs, symptoms and support through treatment--and help support families living with autism. Additionally, A.C. Moore associates held special events to raise funds. All monies raised will support Easter Seals' autism services in the same local communities, giving thousands of children and adults with autism access to critical services that help them live, learn, work, and play.

A.C. Moore stores in the Philadelphia and Wilmington, DE region collected more than half of the total funds, with the Wilmington store earning the top fundraising accolade.

"A.C. Moore's customers and associates really proved that while autism may not affect every family, every family can affect autism," said Patricia Wright, Ph.D., MPH, national director autism services for Easter Seals. "Their generosity allows Easter Seals to provide services to thousands of families living with autism, ensuring that they get the care, guidance and support they need."

"It is extremely gratifying to our team at A.C. Moore to have the opportunity to support Easter Seals and raise awareness about autism. Our sincere thanks to all of our customers and associates who partnered with us to help Easter Seals support families living with autism in their local communities," said David Abelman, Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer for A.C. Moore.
